Hi, I’m Ionel 👋

I’ve always been fascinated by technology — both on the hardware and software side. My passions range from CNC machines and laser engraving to databases, system design, and backend development.

Recently, I’ve started a small business in laser engraving. I’m currently working with an Acmer S1 (6W) — a beginner-friendly machine that’s perfect for learning, experimenting, and building the foundation for more advanced projects. For me, it’s not just about engraving materials, but also about understanding the mechanics, precision, and creative possibilities behind these tools.

On the academic side, I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, where I had the chance to work with a wide range of technologies and apply them in real projects. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree focused on databases, and I work as a Data Engineer, where I deal with data pipelines, processing, and system optimization on a daily basis.

This blog is where I share my journey — from hands-on projects with CNCs and laser engraving to deep dives into software engineering. It’s both a personal space to document what I learn and a way to connect with others who share the same interests.
